I had hoped to have some more screenies of the kid’s party for this one but my comp kept restarting so I gave up.
You’ve Been Served
So now its time to catch you up again to the goings on of Liam Gelman’s household. If you recall last time the realities of passing time were starting to catch up to our Liam.
After learning about the youth potion and the fact that imaginary friends could be made real Liam has been trying to spend his extra time learning about chemistry.
This has been with varying results.
In the meantime some more birthdays have rolled around for his children in different households.
Zinnia and Rosette have managed to raise Liam’s kids long enough for them to become teens. Since now they can take care of themselves more I’m certain that they will survive into adulthood.
Scarab, Elena and Liam’s oldest, is now a teen.
Serpent is also a teen and has decided to become a troublemaker so I’m glad Liam doesn’t have him at home because it looks like enough trouble is on its way.
This doesn’t look like a social call.
“Hello there officer. What brings you to my door?”
“Are you Liam Gelman?”
“Yes I am.”
“I’m here today to serve you with court papers. Holly Greenwood is suing for total custody of Shanta and Tiffani Greenwood. You are ordered to appear before the court in two weeks.”
“Again? This was already settled.”
“I’m afraid you don’t understand the gravity of the situation Mr. Gelman.”
“And what might that be pretty lady?
“I am here from social services and Mrs. Greenwood has asked you be investigated for child endangerment and providing a harmful atmosphere for all of your children here.”
“I don’t understand.”
“If my investigation isn’t satisfactory you could lose all of your children.”
“Hey that’s not fair. I’m a good father just ask any of my kids.”
“I will make up my own mind on this Mr. Gelman. I will not be swayed by someone churning out children like a baby making factory for Watcher knows what purpose.”
“Is something wrong Mister Liam?”
“Who is this?”
“Betsy is my nanny/housekeeper.”
“Is anything the matter?”
“We are just checking on the safety of the children.”
“Speaking of safety is that a Laganaphyllis Simnovorii? How can you have a dangerous thing like that here?”
“Its locked up and its never been fed anything but fish.”
“This is a serious risk to the children’s safety. If this is any indication of what awaits me inside I’ll be removing the children immediately.”
“It will be okay Mr. Liam…”
“I hope so Betsy. I don’t know what I’d do if they took the kids from me because of Holly. I just wish she’d disappear from my life.”
“Now take me inside now.”
This is something I think Liam is going to need to tread carefully with and perhaps seeking my assistance through the oracle I have provided. This is just the sort of opening that Chaos is looking for though I doubt they’ll find any reason to remove any of the children tonight.

Yes I jumped ahead in time a bit. The date has been set for the court hearing and the social worker has been making regular calls.
Liam obviously has been continuing with his attempts at potion making.
“You know Dad you should probably get a Lawyer to help you at that hearing. Keeley agrees with me.”
“Sweetheart you don’t have to get involved.”
“No Dad you aren’t worrying about it enough. Staying up late chugging coffees and messing with that chemistry table isn’t going to help the young kids. I mean us and the twins don’t have much longer until we age up but you got to be sure everything is perfect.”
“What can I possibly do though Ben?”
“Talk to those lawyers like Keeley’s been bugging you to.”
“I even talked to Al and he said he could take Anubis. They can’t complain about the plant being dangerous if it’s not here.”
It seems the trio has a good amount of sense.
“You want to take Anubis away but then how will Mr. Liam stay young.”
“That’s why I’m working so hard at the chemistry stuff. I don’t want to kill anybody and I don’t want to become a vampire or something. Maybe we should ship the plant over to the boy’s resort they’re building.”
I don’t think this thought is fitting in with Betsy’s plans.
“That reminds me Mr. Liam. Could you pick up the cakes for me on the way to the twin’s birthday party tonight? There are some things I’d like to tie-up, loose ends, before I get there.”
“Alright Betsy.”
I’m not sure I like her talk of loose-ends. Perhaps I’ll keep an eye on her tonight as well as Liam.

So here we are at the evening birthday celebration at a local 1950s style restaurant.
First of the Queen Triplets to age up to a child was Clark.
Devon was next.
Then it was Carrie’s turn.
While the family is celebrating though something else is going on at the Gelman family home of a much more sinister nature.
“What’s going on? Where are my girls?”
“They’re at the triplet’s birthday party which I told them you said they could attend. You won’t be attending though.”
“You mean to keep me here at gunpoint so I won’t go pick them up.”
“No Mrs. Greenwood. You’ve caused Mr. Liam a lot of pain and so now that he needs to stay young you’re going to help him. I was going to wait for Marian to have the baby but you need to be dealt with before you cause any more trouble.”
“Move. Go over to the plant now.”
“But you can’t…”
“Move or I’ll blow you’re ***ing brains out now!”
“Now take the cake Mrs. Greenwood.”
“I don’t understand.”
“Just do it.”
“Come on Anubis eat the nice snack Mommy’s brought you.”
“It won’t eat me.”
“Do you see it won’t eat me!” ::Laughs::
“You still need to die. Goodbye Holly…”
“N…”
::Gun fire::
“That didn’t go as you planned though it will make things more interesting. I was beginning to think you’d lost your touch Betsy.”
“Now what am I going to do? Why won’t you help me? Can’t you give him youth?”
“I can’t do that I can only give you opportunities. It’s against the rules. You know that.”
“…but Mr. Liam…”
“Now, now no whining. You have another chance. There’s still Marian…”

Will Holly be doing any haunting in upcoming chapters? I would guess not because Betsy would probably bury her somewhere else so Liam doesn’t find her accidentally. I also noticed that the Grim appears to be missing a face…haha. That actually makes him creepier than his normal look.

/ October 15, 2012Hi Fairybird, Finally caught up on Liam’s children adventures. Congrats on his daughter’s wedding and becoming a grandfather. Sorry about Holly but I guess someone had to go. I think Betsy would make a much better meal for Anubis someday. Hope he doesn’t lose all his children though. Glad you got your computer back and hope that everything works out for you.
