Quest for Immortality: Chapter 20

WARNING:  There is a bit more strong language in this chapter than normal.  I am only bleeping out f*** now since the others I believe fall within the PG-13 rating.

I apologize for some of the outside shots being dark and other times lighter but that is courtesy of seasons.  It started out a sunny day but then got cloudy.  Then it really started to get dark as the sun started to set.  lol.

Show Down

So it’s once again time for birthday’s in the Gelman household, and I’m sure you are eager to see how the children turned out.

First up were the Queen triplets.  Devon was the first to transition into young adulthood.

Next to age-up was Carrie Queen.

Then finally Clark became a young adult.

They decided to stick around for a little while to help with their four newest siblings while their dad tried to tie up the custody issues.  Speaking of the  younger kids, the Harms twins next stepped up to their cakes to become children.

First Celine became a very pretty little girl.  There is no mistaking whose daughter she is, and her brother also resembles Liam a great deal.

 Desmond also aged up well, as you can see.  This of course brings us to the latest of the Montigo-Gelman brood becoming toddlers.

The first to age up were Zinnia’s twins.  Gladiolus was brought up to the cake first.

Then his twin Delphinium became a toddler.  Last to age up were Rosette’s twins.

Fentanyl became a toddler first.

Then it was Morphine’s turn.  Hopefully he’ll grow into his ears as he get’s older.

Hopefully this group of sibling-cousins turns out better than the ones Rosette and Zinnia raised.

They then took a family picture with all of their older siblings.

 Now that the youngest Gelmans were toddlers, Liam reminded the Montigo girls that it was time to go.  He received no problem from Zinnia, who probably would’ve already left if her sister could have been convinced otherwise, and who booked the return flight right away.

“Well, we’re headed home now Liam.   Thanks for the vacation.  It was good to get away from that idiot Max for a while.”

The day had arrived, and Zinnia was still composed and actually happy to be returning home.

“You’re welcome, Zin.  Its been fun.  Call me anytime you’re in town and have needs your husband can’t fill.  You know I’m game.”

“I’m so upset that I can’t even smash your head in for hitting on my ho of a sister. I can’t live without you, boo!”

Not surprisingly, Rosette wasn’t happy to be forced to leave Liam’s home.

“I know it seems bad right now Rose, but after a while the pain will go away.”

He could be a bit more sensitive, don’t you think?  While Liam was more than happy to enjoy the benefits of having a more than eager woohoo partner readily available whenever he wanted it, he was also happy to have the sisters leave.   Rose’s desire to be with him almost constantly was especially starting to get on his nerves.

“Zinnia said she won’t bring me here, so I’ll never see you again.”

“Hey who knows occasionally, you might see me if there’s something to do with the kids.”

I don’t think a hug and a kiss on the forehead will make her feel any better.

“But Liam we’re supposed to be together foreva and eva!”  ::Sobs::

 Nothing would make her happy other than staying with and marrying Liam, but I doubt that will ever happen.  I suppose its good that Liam is empathetic enough to try to comfort Rosette though.  He’s not a complete ego maniacal jerk, though he may seem that way at times.

“Here’s a little something to remember me by.”

I think he just made it worse.  Feeding her obsession will only encourage it.  I doubt that’s a lesson he will ever learn though.

“I hope I’m not interrupting something Mr. Gelman.”

It seems that Liam is just getting rid of the Montigos in time for that final inspection.

“No we were just leaving, right Rose?”

“Shut your cocksucker Zinnia, you asshole!” ::Sobs::

“Oh, stop your bitching and moaning you stupid slut.”   I hope these two don’t ruin things for Liam, but if they do its his own fault for letting them stay longer.

“No, its no problem at all, Chiquita.  I’m ready for the inspection.  I’m always happy to have you stop by, pretty lady.”

Is that a blush?  I think Liam’s attempt to charm the social worker has succeeded.  Perhaps this won’t turn out so badly for him.

Then again, there is always Betsy, who is a wild card that Liam is oblivious to.

“See you Montigo ladies later.  Stay sexy.”

Has disaster actually been avoided?  Did Liam’s gamble with keeping the Montigos around for longer actually not backfire?

“Come on Rosette.  I think I see the cab.”

“No!  I’m not leaving my boo alone with that social worker bitch.  She was making eyes at him.”

“Rose, Liam doesn’t belong to you and we have to get back home.  We can’t stall mommy and daddy or our husband’s any longer.”

“I think you should listen to your sister Miss Rose.  Mr. Liam is no longer your concern.”

“You trippin’ if you think you can tell me to leave with that bitch here.  I didn’t mind leaving him with you because I know he won’t be interested in your bony, wrinkly ass, but that bitch is trouble.”

 I was afraid something like this might happen.  I don’t think that Betsy wants to ruin things for Liam right now, so hopefully things won’t get must worse than some name calling.

“You have no idea who you’re messing with.  Don’t f*** with me, bitch.”

“Old lady, you can trash talk, but don’t try to throw down with Rose.  She’s street and you’d be in for a world of hurt.”

So I see Zinnia won’t be a voice of reason in this situation.

“Oh, I know her type.  She’s all talk.  I’m not.  If you don’t leave now, I’ll make you go.”

“Oh yeah Grandma?  What are you going to do?”

“Yes Betsy, just what are you going to do?  I think you’ve lost your nerve.”

What is he doing there now out in the open?

“Who are you?”

“I don’t know who you are, but you’re kind of hot.  Want to make out?

“Hardly.  I’m a friend of Betsy’s who is sorely disappointed in her at the moment.”

“What do you mean?”

“I mean that you, Betsy, are supposed to be preventing Liam from completing his challenge, and your latest stunt has improved, rather than lessened, his odds of success.”

“I haven’t done anything to help him.  I swear I haven’t.”

“I know about you giving him the cowplant milk.  If you’d have taken it yourself or tossed it and let him age, you might have been able to convince him to stop and had him all to yourself.  I thought you were willing to do anything to keep him, but you seem to want him to achieve immortality.  You may not be selfish enough to deny him his goals, but perhaps Rosette is?”

“Oh, there’s no one as selfish as Rose.”

“Shut the hell up Zinnia!  I am not!”

 “Rosette, how would you like the chance to live forever with Liam?  If you can succeed in getting him to marry you, I’ll grant you both immortality.”

So you intend to discard one pawn in favor of another, Seth?  I don’t see how it will do you any good.

“You mean I’d get to make love to my boo foreva and eva?”

“Yes.”

“How can you offer her that, Seth?  After all I’ve done for you and Mr. Liam, you can’t do this!”

“Oh I can, and I’m tired of your failure.”

 “Looks like I win, Grandma.  My Liam will marry me because he’s already said he will, so you’re gonna die alone and ugly.”

“He wants nothing to do with you except for a cheap lay when he’s horny.  He doesn’t love you and he never will.”

“You take that back!  My boo loves me!”

“No he doesn’t slut.”

“I’ll kill you!”

So this was his real intention?  He’s prohibited by the rules of hurting a mortal himself so he’s getting Rose to punish Betsy for him.

It looks like Rosette has underestimated Betsy’s ability because of her age.

“I’ll give you one more chance to leave and never come back!”

“Rose get up!   Don’t let some old lady beat your ass down or the Montigo name is shit.”

“Hey Grandma you gotta fight dirty to kick my ass!”

“How delightful!” ::Laughs maniacally::

I wonder why no one in the house has noticed yet.

“It sounds like there’s something going on outside.  Should I get Dad?”

“Nah, Carrie I’ll check it out.   Dad’s with the social worker.”

“Okay.  Devon should go too.”

Well this is about to get interesting.

“Ah crap, they’re really fighting this time!   I’m going in to get Dad.”

“Wuss.”

“Rosette, what in the hell are you doing?”

“Let me go.   I have to kill her.”

“Rose, get ahold of yourself.  You think Dad will want to talk to you again if you hurt Betsy?”

“Ah shit!”

“Step away, Devon, so I get a clear shot or I’ll be forced to kill you too.”

“Damn, this shit is for real now!”

I hope Clark is calling the police, because now that Betsy has a gun there’s not much Liam can do.

Speaking of Liam he’s busy charming the social worker back inside the house.

“Dad, you’ve got to stop Rosette from killing Betsy.  I don’t think she’ll listen to anybody else.”

Clark, you should’ve just called the police.

“I’m too pretty to die!” 

“Betsy, what in the Hell?”

“Shut up!  I’m glad you’re here to finally see what I’m willing to do for you!”

“Why are you doing this?”

“I love you.  I thought if I gave you a child and got rid of all these annoying women in your way to becoming immortal that you’d finally notice, but you never did!”

“This is the woman that you’ve had caring for your children?”

“I’ve never seen her like this, I swear!”

“Police?  You’ve got to send someone here; the nanny has gone nuts and she’s threatening everyone with a gun!”

Well, at least Clark is coming through, even if he is a coward.

His brother, on the other hand, was brave enough to use Betsy’s change in focus to subdue her.

“Get off me Devon, you asshole!  I changed your diapers!  How can you do this.”

“Sorry Betsy, you aren’t getting up until the cops get here.”

“At least we all came out of this unharmed.  I will have to include this in my report unfortunately…”

This might give him some problems in his upcoming custody hearing.

“You’re alive my love!”

“Yeah… are you okay Rose?”

“That was horrible.  I thought I was going to get shot and get blood all over this cute top!”

I think perhaps Rose is the most shallow Sim I have yet to encounter.  At least she and her sister are leaving, so they can’t make this already bad situation worse.  Seth is, of course, already gone after setting the pieces in motion and is probably off gloating somewhere at how well his pawn has succeeded in making things much more chaotic for Liam.  I just hope Liam can get out of this somehow, because I’d hate to lose another challenge taker to their own careless decisions.
