I decided to split the content of what I’d planned to be in one chapter into two so that I could share some more of the family happenings pics I took. So there will now be two more chapters before the one with the vote.
The Calm Before the Storm
Hello. I thought you’d like to have a bit of an update on just what has transpired for Liam since the catfight and Betsy’s arrest. The answer is that its been remarkably quiet for Liam except for a few questions being asked here and there of he and everyone present. Betsy is still being held in jail since no one has offered to bail her out. I wonder if her secret has been discovered? I hope for Liam’s sake that she doesn’t until after this custody hearing.
Desmond and Celine are remarkably well-adjusted despite the recent events and making good use of the many opportunities for finding their talents that are available at Liam’s house. Celine is actually a genius, I have no idea where she got her intelligence from because neither of her parents had above average IQs.
Desmond has been enjoying playing with the child’s oven. Perhaps Liam will have another budding culinarian in the family.
With the help of the Queen triplets Liam’s household was concentrating on teaching the newest toddlers their skills.
Not having Betsy to help him, Liam was naturally grateful for the assistance. Having four babies at once to teach and care for would have been very difficult for Liam on his own.
“Alright Fent let’s teach you to talk. Say ‘Daddy’.”
“Doggy!”
“Whose kid are you again?”
I’m still wondering how these children will turn out in comparison to their siblings who were raised in the chaotic Montigo household. Speaking of Liam’s children being raised in their mother’s household Liam has received an email from Doll Marine.
Dear Liam,
The babies have been born. It’s triplets, one girl and two boys. And they’re toddlers already. Sorry I didn’t email you when they were babies, but it was just too hectic around here.
This is Lauren. She quite a friendly little toddler, and she loves to play the xylophone.
And this is Lark. He’s a heavy sleeper and very brave. He’s the only fairy out of this bunch.
And this is Linden. He’s quite the smart little toddler, but he’s also the laziest. I’ll email you again soon with pictures of the triplets.

I’m starting to notice Liam’s nose seems to be a dominate gene. Most of his children seem to get his “Gelman Nose” or at least one very similar to his.
Yes, as I’ve said things have been pretty normal at the Gelman household.
However, just because Liam and the Triplets have managed to give the young ones some stability, that doesn’t mean things are completely normal outside of walls of the house.
Once the event went out to the news it has already significantly increased the paparazzi presence around the house.
I’ve noticed one face more frequently than the others. Her name is Francisa Lawton and she’s new to the ranks of Paparazzi and hungry to make her mark.
It seems she has spotted something of interest.
The social worker appears to have come at an hour that would suggest this isn’t a business call.
Inside it looks like Liam is trying to drown his recent sorrows.
“Daddy you shouldn’t be getting drunk like this with one of the babies here. This is the second night in the row.”
“I’m not drunk. I just mixed a drink to relax with once I put Ladi to bed.”
“You know this isn’t going to help…”
“I’m stressed out and nervous so what else am I supposed to do?”
“This isn’t like you.”
“Mind your business and I’ll mind mine and won’t ask where you’ve been all day.”
::Sighs:: “Fine I’ll just go put Gladiolus to bed.”
“Thanks Sweetheart.”
::Doorbell Rings:: “I’ll get it. You just put your brother to bed and relax.”
“Okay Daddy. Night.”
Hopefully Liam isn’t too far gone to use a little common sense when speaking to the woman who could possibly make or break his case before the judge.
“Well hey look who it is. I don’t know if I should be glad to see you or not.”
“I actually came by to make sure everything was alright. I’m sorry that fight happened and it might negatively affect your case. When they ask for the facts I’ll have to give them and my favorable over-all opinion of you might not be enough. I wanted you to know that whatever happens I don’t think you’re a bad father.”
“Thanks Chiquita… I know you got to do your job and all. You gotta say what you do even if it let’s them take my kids away. You’ve been really amazing toward me and the kids so I won’t hold it against you. Say you want a drink?”
“I don’t know if I should. It was a bit of a risk for me to come here at all.”
“Listen just think of us as friends tonight. I hate drinking alone and all the kids are giving me dirty looks. My favorite drinking partners are pretty women and you just happen to be one.”
::Giggles:: “I suppose one won’t hurt.”
For Liam’s sake I hope he doesn’t convince her to stay long.
If this paparazzi’s pictures get to the wrong people the social worker’s objectivity might be challenged.
“Here let me make some more.”
“Mr. Gelman…”
“Hey none of that. Its Liam and we’re just friends tonight right.”
“Liam, I hope that we might be able to be friends once this is over.”
“I don’t see why we can’t. I know you’re going to do your best for us. Help yourself to a drink.”
Perhaps he hopes he can continue to charm Chiquita and get a good report from her. I’m afraid his charms have been a bit more flirtatious than friendly which is never a good idea when a relationship is supposed to be business like in nature.
The rate with which these two are guzzling down the juice doesn’t bode well.
“Liam, what would you do…if your kids do get taken away?”
Yes, Liam what would you do?
“I don’t know. I don’t really want to think about it. You may not think it, with me doing this for a Challenge, but I do love my kids.”
Not to mention he’d lose his chance for immortality.
“I believe it. I think you are a good man.”
“Well, I wonder some times lately.”
It appears Rosette might not have been too far off from the mark when she thought Chiquita was attracted to Liam.
“I don’t and you can get the judge to know that too. I didn’t like you at first. I thought you were a jerk.”
“I’ve been called worse.”
“Well I don’t think you are. You’re a beautiful man.”
“I got to warn you Chiquita. I got one Hell of a libido, I haven’t had any in days so if you keep talking like that I’m not responsible for what happens next. You already have me standing at attention.“
“Watcher I hope so…”
Attraction and juice never allow for objectivity and I hope this doesn’t turn out to be another mistake Liam will regret.
“Oh you have an amazing body!”
“I didn’t take you for the type to have a tat.”
“Oh I like to walk on the wild side and I never woohoo in a bed. How about we take this wardrobe for a spin?”
“Baby I like the way you think.”
Well, since he’s not going into this with a clear head, I don’t think he’s taken any precautions.
Then again I’m not sure that he would care that she’s not looking to get pregnant since he himself wants more children. I don’t know about you but I’ve had enough of watching Liam tempt fate for one night.

Here we are a few days later and Liam has received some more house guests.
“Thanks for putting us up Liam. It will really help with us getting you all ready for your testimony at the hearing for us to be staying here.”
“It’s the least I can do since you ladies are working so hard for me and my kids.”
“So you’re the ladies who are going to make sure the city doesn’t take us away from Daddy?”
“Well we certainly will be trying our best to make sure they do. Right Prim?”
“Of course.”
“Since Daddy is only guilty of crimes against common sense and not anything criminal it shouldn’t be too hard to show them he’s a very good one.”
This child is incredibly perceptive as well as intelligent.
“You are one smart little girl.”
“Too smart. Celine why don’t you go play chess or something so I can show our guests their rooms?”
“Okay Daddy.”
You might want to listen to your daughter Liam. You’ve made some stupid moves lately.
“About rooms. I would like to sleep in the treehouse. The aliens don’t like tree houses.”
“Aliens?”
“Yes. The aliens want to study my brain so I must sleep a minimum of 3 feet off of the ground so that their rainbow tractor beam can’t capture me too easily. The tree branches will help too.”
“Okay…”
“You have to excuse Prim she’s a bit…eccentric.”
That’s one word for it but at least she’s not psychotic like Betsy.
“So you’re Devon, Carrie and I’s full brothers.”
Part of the lawyer’s strategy is to show the judge 100 Baby Challenge families can produce stable offspring. They can demonstrate using themselves and with children raised in another family. They are hoping by showing the Queen children that grew up in different 100 Baby households wasn’t detrimental to them.
“Yep. So tell me are you three awesome like me or are you rejects like Scarab?”
“You must be the comedian…”
“No Serpent’s the evil twin. He wants to take over the world.” “Not the ‘world’ as much as the criminal world. As you can tell Scarab is the boring one.”
“Well Clark would be the boring one of us three. Carrie is the crazy one.”
“Hey I’m not boring I’m just the easy-going, sensitive one.”
“Um, Serpent so your into crime? Do they know? I’m not so sure they’d want you as an example of a typical, well-adjusted 100 BC kid if they knew.”
“Of course not… I’m in ‘shipping’ as far as they are concerned. You aren’t going to tattle are you?”
Let’s hope the judge doesn’t figure out Serpent is a criminal because I doubt that would be considered stable.
“Actually I thought you might be able to help me.”
“Help you how, Carrie?
“Come with me upstairs.”
I’m not liking the sound of this.
I like the way the situation looks less. I hadn’t thought about what the new traits the triplets gained when they aged up were and it looks like Carrie developed a problematic one.
“Where did you get all of this”
“I stole it.”
“You? Seriously?”
That’s what I was afraid of. She’s a kleptomaniac.
“Yes. See after my last birthday the voices started to tell me to steal stuff. Only I never said anything about the voices I started hearing as a teenager, because of the custody issue I was afraid to, so I couldn’t say anything about this new compulsion.”
“So you need to unload all of this on the sly. No sweat Sis I got your back and hell, if you don’t have a career in mind I’ll be happy to introduce you into the fold.”
“Oh thank you so much Serpent.”
“My pleasure. I’ll handle this once the hearing is done so it won’t affect anything.”
I’m not so sure that will be possible now. I suppose there is always hope they’ll get a short-sighted judge.

Carrie looks like sooo much fun…I must think of a creative way to incorporate her into my story. And her brothers too, of course…Just got an idea!

/ January 17, 2013I realized after I posted that my laughter looked a little obnoxious. I was really laughing at a lot of what your characters were saying and doing…I just love how crazy Carrie has turned out. And Liam and the social worker…yeah, that too. Also, Celine. So, I was just laughing because you succeeded at the humor again. Also, I just loved Serpent and Scarab. You pegged them right on! Scarab might try to prove to Devon that he’s not that boring, though, lol. He does have the Daredevil trait.
And is it sad that I thought Carrie and Serpent’s little criminal discussion was sweet? ahaha
Anyways, I didn’t actually have Aston in mind when I had that idea for the Triplets…it was more that I came up with a great way to first introduce them to my story. Like I mentioned on my blog, I haven’t really had any concrete plans for Aston after what already happened. I know that’s kinda unrealistic since his plan didn’t go quite the way he wanted it to…but I have other stuff I would like to include as well. Aston can’t have the spotlight all the time, XD. It might actually make Elena suspicious of him if he does too many more dastardly things, so he’s biding his time until he’s a little older.

I didn find Carrie and Serpent bonding sweet even if it was over criminal things. lol. I didn’t mean for Aston being in anything in particular I just was making a general statement in that it would be interesting if he met the triplets. I’ll enjoy whatever you do with him. lol.

I cracked up laughing when I saw the tat on the social worker!!!!! Yeah, I didn’t peg her for having one either. And for that matter, LIAM WTH are you thinking woohooing the social worker lady? RU crazy?! Probably.
I loved how Celine said her father was really only guilty of crimes against common sense. Love it really.
Carrie and ‘the voices’ worry me. Especially with a name like Carrie, going crazy… yeah.

I actually hadn’t planned on having her in that scene but she walked over and inserted herself into the conversation so I wrote her in. Liam was pretty tanked up and definitely not thinking with his head to woohoo the social worker. lol. I never thought about Carrie’s name when she turned out insane. That is kind of creepy but she’s a sweetheart and prom is long gone so I don’t think there will be that kind of problem. lol.
