Hi everyone,
This post is to make an announcement on some necessary changes I’m going to need to make in the amount of stories I have. If you’ve been around the last few months you’ve probably seen posts here, on my tumblr and the sims forums lately in r/l I’ve had a rash of necessary repairs at my mom and dad’s house. I am a caregiver for my elderly parents as my job and handle their finances and we’ve been living on a fixed income from the VA (Veteran’s Administration). Since these repairs are all major and expensive I’m going to have to take on some part-time work. I’m going to take a class and get some work where I can freelance and turn in work over the internet so we can get this stuff paid for quicker so I will have less time to work on stories.
After thinking things over I decided I’d rather not let all the stories I have go hanging for months as I work my way through the list. For this reason I’ve decided to not put out some of the new ideas I have and to cutback on the number of stories I’m working on. The stories that already were started and are farther along might become free play files which I’ll post pictures on tumblr for and others that aren’t far along I most likely will forget about until maybe a later time.
I have decided that I can only carry 6 stories in a reasonable manner. The my two main stories I focus on, Quest for Immortality, Gothic Resort Insanity and The Frost Rainbowcy, will be remaining but I will be putting the remaining 3 to vote for you to decide which to keep as stories and which to keep as free-play where you can see updates on tumblr. If you follow and read my stories please vote so one of your favorites won’t be dropped.
The Frost Rainbowcy
I really liked the idea I had of running the “other side” of what’s to come in A Touch of Frost and hated the idea of not including it in some way so I have decided to make the story a 5 Generation Story. This way instead of having two 10 generation stories I can show both sides of a shorter story with both coming together at the end. I don’t want to spoil what I have in store by saying too much but I know you will enjoy the ride.
Quest for Immortality, Gothic Resort Insanity & All Things Gelman
I figure that Quest will be concluded in the fall of this year with the pace in which I’m planning to update and I’ve invested so much I am determined to finish the BC and the story. I’ve also invested a huge amount of time on the Gothic Resort and intend to continue with it for at least a couple of generations. I have decided to either let one of the other Gelman stories I have rolling around in my head, either 2002 Arabian Nights or In Harm’s Way, start running along side them starting in June and continue with Resort once Quest has included. Please vote on which one below. Once it is closer to launch I will have you vote on the supporting cast for it from among the characters I’m having trouble choosing between.

Wild Hearts and Wild Moonlight
I will be finishing the Gen 2 storyline for Wild Hearts and Gen 1 storyline for Wild Moonlight since so much work went into starting them but whether they continue and how will be up to you to decide. In the voting below you will get a chance to vote if you want to just one of the stories or a combination of the two. If the two are combined the Wild Hearts heir will be moved to Moonlight Falls and the story will follow both the Wild Hearts and Wild Moonlight heirs.

/ May 18, 2013I hope you’ll be able to get things in RL back in order. I know repairs can get pricey. Something I fear once I move out. My cat better behave after we move to our new home haha. (I just got done threatening her LOL) I voted and all.

/ May 18, 2013Poor Kitty. At least you can ask her to behave. Thanks Nay. I can’t ask the pipes under the house not to burst nicely. We just had to replace the furnace for 3k and the whole house has to be repiped which will cost that much too. We had to get a loan and I’m praying the pipes don’t go before we can pay down the furnance a bit.

/ May 26, 2013Oh boy. 😦 That is a big job with the pipes. Good luck – for your patience! We had similar pipe problems in our apartments over the winter. Anyway, I was only reading Wild Hearts and Pet Masters. Someday I will get back to reading the Frosts.
